In the event of the motorcycle tipping over or crashing, the axle protection pads ensure that the fork, wheel axle and braking system are effectively protected against damage.
The protection pads distance these components during point contact or sliding contact with the ground or road surface, thereby reducing or preventing costly damage to the motorcycle. In addition to material selection, we have structurally integrated and proven two key specific properties in racing: damping and friction resistance that increases progressively during the sliding phase. Damping: The first positive property is damping, which can partially or completely absorb impact energy in the event of sudden force application.
Friction resistance: The second positive property is friction resistance, which increases from the outside to the inside due to the component geometry and the enlargement of the effective sliding surface. This means that our axle protection pad offers low friction resistance during light contact, but shortens the sliding phase in terms of time and distance during prolonged sliding contact with the road surface. In other words, in the event of a crash with axle protection pads fitted, both the duration of sliding and the sliding distance are reduced.
For optimum protection of your motorcycle, we recommend combining our axle protection pads with our vehicle-specific crash bar systems, for which we also offer additional protection pads.
