They offer maximum protection for the exposed water coolers, the tank side panels, the stem with the additional headlights and, to a limited extent, for the tank side bags
The two distinctive, laterally projecting pipe segments serve to prevent rollovers
The cleverly integrated RackBase is an eye-catcher and simultaneously takes over the function of the upper mount of the front tank protection bar and the reinforcement strut at the rear - it also serves as a storage space or compact rack equipped with lashing openings 
The design ensures that external forces and moments are evenly distributed to the appropriate support points on the right and left in order to reduce the effect of force and moment peaks
An additional bracket is integrated into the tank side panel

This Wunderlich ULTIMATE tank guard is specially designed for adventure riding and reliably protects not only the tank, but also the fairing, the stem, and the highly vulnerable radiator units. Combined with the Wunderlich rollover protection, it forms a sophisticated all-round protection concept for passive safety: In the event of a fall or tip-over, the forces acting on the guard are optimally distributed across the guard structure to the resilient mounting points, reducing force and moment peaks. Visually, the guard integrates seamlessly into the design of the Adventure and underscores its striking appearance. The tank guard is made from a composite of 25-millimeter precision steel tubing. The tubular segments are formed on CNC tube bending machines and then cleanly welded.
