Bikes are often designed so that – if an engine guard is present – the footrest and guard touch down almost simultaneously at a lean angle that is not critical in terms of tire grip. It's important to be aware that various factors, such as the bike's load or riding over a dip or pothole, can limit the lean angle.
For riders who want more reserve when approaching the asphalt, we have developed our lean angle indicators, which can be easily screwed onto the outside of the original Enduro footpegs (#13515-200), the Option 719 footpegs (#13515-302) or the standard footpegs (#13515-100).

World-traveling adventure riders know this: There are those days when the motorcycle falls to the side more than once because of conditions unimaginable in sophisticated and civilized Europe with its well-developed road network. Or because the physical exertion, due to heat or cold, simply leaves you with the strength and stamina to hold the bike. Beyond civilization, it is therefore all the more important to travel with reliable equipment that can "handle" the associated material stress and simply endure it without failing. After all, it can be vital to remain mobile, constantly on the move, and independent in order to minimize the potential for personal danger.

This Wunderlich ULTIMATE PRO engine protection bar is specially designed for adventure riding.

It not only reliably protects the cylinders and valve covers, but also the two lambda sensors. The all-round protection concept increases passive safety and thus the joy of riding. In the event of a fall or tip-over, the forces acting on the engine guard are optimally distributed across the crash bar structure to the resilient mounting points, thus avoiding force and moment peaks and effectively reducing material stress. Compared to the ULTIMATE engine guard, the ULTIMATE PRO features an additional filler plate that further increases its protective effect.

The additional, quadruple-welded stainless steel PROtection plate of the PRO version has a solid (and unmistakable) component thickness of three millimeters. It features recesses, stiffening the tubular structure of the engine guard while simultaneously increasing the direct protection for the cylinder head and valve cover. These recesses not only emphasize the tool design with its adventure look, but also allow water to drain away directly after driving through water.

The engine guard structure is made of 25-millimeter precision stainless steel tubing. The tube segments are formed on CNC tube bending machines and then cleanly welded. Visually, the guard integrates into the design of the motorcycle and blends into its striking appearance. Our ULTIMATE engine protection bar is designed for easy maintenance: The oil drain plug and oil filter cartridge are fully accessible for oil changes without having to disassemble the engine protection bar.

Our protection bars focus on both protective function and product design. This stainless steel engine protection bar adds a high-quality finish to your BMW. The stainless steel surface is glass bead blasted and electropolished.
