Please note: On R1200/R1250 liquid cooled models, BMW originally specified 75W90 GL5 synthetic oils for use in the gearbox and final drive unit. However, they have since changed this recommendation to 70W80 Hypoid G3 oil (part number OIA60128); we still recommend the use of a 75W90 GL5 synthetic oil such as this one as a cost effective alternative.
