It is approximately 40% lighter than comparable stainless steel versions, yet offers the same high mechanical strength. Weighing just 3.02 kg, it is one of the lightest crash bar sets for the BMW R 1300 GS and R 1300 GS Adventure. The set was specifically developed to protect the engine and is partially mounted on the frame to efficiently distribute impact forces. It blends seamlessly with the motorcycle's design and has been verified for maximum safety and performance in extensive testing and deformation analyses. Precisely manufactured with Akrapovic's signature attention to detail, the crash bar set does not affect the lean angle and meets ABE type approval.
The 2.5 mm thick carbon fiber guards provide additional strength and allow the user to easily replace them if damaged.
